McGuire
Development Company and its predecessors
in construction and real estate date back to 1960,
when Frank McGuire founded Industrial Power and
Lighting Corporation, IPL.
As a professional engineer with a reputation for
getting the job done with honesty and integrity,
Frank McGuire grew to be Western New York’s
largest electrical contractor. After establishing
a foundation of success locally, the company expanded
services nationally from Florida to Alaska. Venturing
further, IPL holds the distinction of being the
first U.S. electrical contractor to successfully
work in China.
Today’s
portfolio includes more than four million square
feet of space. While we maintain joint venture relationships
with many of Western New York’s largest real
estate investors, we have also ventured cross-country
for diverse opportunities in government, commercial
and residential sectors located throughout the United
States.
A
unique attribute that McGuire Development Co. has
is our vast financial resources. With our 100 million
dollar bonding capacity, our financial strength
is an important business asset. Coupled with that
is our longevity in many business arenas, most notably
our successful health care facilities that we have
owned and operated for more than 30 years. The health
care facilities showcase our ability to marry both
compassion and integrity in the daily care given
to our elderly residents with the sharp business
acumen needed to succeed in a highly regulated industry.
Carrying
forward Frank McGuire’s tradition of commitment,
integrity and passion for the business is son Jim
McGuire, who infuses the company
with a new generation of energy and enthusiasm.
Drawing from a solid balance of construction, business
and management experience both inside and outside
the family companies over the past 22 years, Jim
serves as President and C.E.O. of The McGuire Group,
Inc., and is committed to the success of McGuire
Development Co. James
F. Dentinger is Partner and President
of McGuire Development Co. and possesses more than
two decades of business development and operational
real estate experience.
