Assistant Director, Development
Lisa Hicks is responsible for providing assistance to the Development team in regards to financial analyses/economic pro formas, the tracking of commercial construction hard costs, communications with lenders, attorneys, appraisers, surveyors, environmental firms, and other external stakeholders, and pursuing municipal approvals for development/acquisition/construction projects.
As a Buffalo transplant from Toronto, Ontario CA, Lisa brings over 8 years of commercial real estate experience from the Toronto market. Most recently, she completed an internship with the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation. Prior to that role, she served as a retail lease paralegal for Ivanhoé Cambridge.
Lisa’s expertise in financial modelling, contract and lease negotiation, and her thorough understanding of the local commercial real estate market, coupled with her experience and education, make her an essential asset as Assistant Director of Development.
Lisa lends her passion and excitement for commercial real estate and the community to her membership in the Urban Land Institute, Women’s Leadership Initiative, and as a volunteer for Fillmore Forward, on the Economic Restructuring Committee.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University and a Masters of Science in Architecture, specializing in Real Estate Development, from the University at Buffalo.
